Card Games

Card games are played using packs or decks of cards of the exact same dimensions in shape and size. The cards each have two sides called the face, and the back. In most cases, by design, the backs of the cards are embellished with identical markings and designs so that players cannot distinguish them when viewing them from the back. The faces of the cards may be completely unique, or there can be identical cards as well.

Similar types of games can be played with tiles made of plastic, wood, bone, or other materials. The most recognizable examples of tile set games are Dominoes, Mahjong, and Rummikub. Chinese dominoes, while being comprised of traditional tile sets as other dominoes, are also played as cards instead.
